Hello and Welcome to Resilience in Transition.
My name is Rosemary Julea Faire. I would like this site to be a resource for people facing transition times. Such challenging times may be due to personal life transitions or the current global transition of climate change.
The first thing I need to do is comment on the name of my website. I chose this name at a time before the words "resilience" and "transition" had been hijacked by people with agendas far removed from a concern for either people or the planetary ecosystem. I am adding this note in 2023 after the global pandemonium which basically upturned everything I thought I knew about who (politicians, media and scientific journals) I could trust. Notwithstanding that, I still maintain this website because I still believe that the original meanings of the words I chose, and the resources I placed here, might still be useful. Needless to say I am revisiting my previously held beliefs about what are the most pressing issues facing us, and the one at the top of my list now is the global fight for bodily autonomy and democracy in the face of an unprecedented level of global authoritarianism and censorship. My latest articles might shed some light on my journey for those who understand my drift.
As my career as an academic and therapist has spanned a number of disciplines, I have left a trail of websites with resources from each era. My Edublog, which contains free resources from Expressive Arts Therapy, Somatic Education and Deep Ecology, can be accessed here too:
http://yesoreriaf.edublogs.org
My original website, shared with my partner Alex Nicolson, can be found at Ecosomatics:
https://zulenet.com/ecosomatics/default.html
There's more about my work and publications on LinkedIn, under Rosemary (Rosey) Faire.
I can be contacted at the email address below.
